The statistics paint a sobering picture: food banks in the Trussell Trust network provided over 1.4 million emergency food parcels in just six months this year—a staggering 69% increase compared to the same period five years ago. Even more concerning, over 500,000 of these food parcels went to children.

As economic pressures continue to rise, families across the UK are struggling to meet their basic needs. For many, food banks are no longer a last resort but a critical lifeline.
